ABOUT

Hello, I am an interior designer based in Essex, specialising in wellness-centered designs that blend period details with modern functionality to promote healthy living. I live with my two children in Westcliff-on-sea and they are the inspiration behind the drive to create a beautiful healthy home.

My approach emphasises the use of sustainable and non-toxic materials, aiming to reduce the presence of harmful chemicals in living environments. I offer practical, creative solutions tailored to individual needs, ensuring each project reflects the client's personality while supporting their well-being.

The idea for Beautiful Healthy Home started with a candle over a decade ago. Late one evening, when feeding my newborn, I started to wonder if the candle on the sideboard was perhaps creating an unhealthy environment for him..

This led me on a journey of research and exploration to discover so many things in our home are potentially toxic and are leading to health problems later in life. Beautiful Healthy Home was born from the idea that we shouldn’t have to compromise on aesthetics and that a beautiful healthy home can still be achievable with a little thought and care.

My background, pre-children, spans two decades, first in fashion buying for major high street retail brands, followed by a further seven years in a transformative role at the Fairtrade Foundation, where I supported sustainability and ethical practices.

I have always been fascinated by interiors, architectural design and pattern, and when the opportunity arose for me to return to study, I jumped at the chance, completing a year-long diploma in interior design in 2017.

This study ran parallel with research into healthier homes.. My passion for responsible design drove me to gain further qualifications in healthier building materials and indoor air quality through courses with NY Parsons School of Design and ACS.

I am a signatory of the Better Business Act and Interior Design Declares, as well as being a registered Associate Interior Designer with the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).

Every element of my work reflects a dedication to combining style, functionality, and a healthier environment for you and your family.
